Ms. Margie’s Journey to Success

For years, Ms. Margie found success in various aspects of her life but was often held back by her desire to complete her high school education. Ms. Margie embodies a spirit of community engagement, offering love, support, and invaluable advice to those around her. As a consistent motivator in her community, Ms. Margie decided it was time to pursue one of her long-held dreams. In September 2023, she enrolled in the Adult Education Class at Martha O’Bryan Center to earn her GED, also known as HISET.

While balancing her own business and caring for her daughter, Ms. Margie initially questioned if returning to the classroom was the right path for her. However, with support and encouragement from both those she had supported and the Martha O’Bryan team, she found the motivation to move forward. The Martha O’Bryan adult education staff rallied around Ms. Margie, providing the encouragement she needed to take the next steps in her educational journey.

In just one month of joining MOBC’s Adult Education Program, Ms. Margie achieved a significant milestone by advancing her reading comprehension skills to the next level. Her dedication and determination serve as a true testament that it is never too late to accomplish a dream.
