Champions Breakfast 2024 Keynote Speaker Mahamud Mohamed

At the Champions Breakfast 2024, the audience was captivated by Mahamud Mohamed, the first keynote speaker, who shared his inspiring journey from Stratford High School to achieving academic and professional success with the support of the Martha O’Bryan Center.

Mahamud’s story began at Stratford STEM Magnet High School, where he became actively involved in the Top Floor program, Martha O’Bryan’s Academic Student Union that fosters a supportive environment for students to thrive. Through Top Floor, he found not only academic guidance but also a community that motivated him to pursue his goals with determination.

With the Center’s Post Secondary Success program, Mahamud received crucial resources and mentorship that prepared him for the next chapter of his education. His hard work paid off when he was awarded a full scholarship to Belmont University, a pivotal moment that opened doors to new opportunities.

As Mahamud recounted his experiences, he emphasized the transformative power of education and community support.
