Martha O’Bryan Center’s Response to Hate

Martha O’Bryan’s mission is to love and support children and families.  Martha O’Bryan stands against hate in all its representations.  We are deeply disturbed by visitors to our city who would denigrate and harm the children we serve or any children. 

Hate has no place in this city.  Unfortunately, as evidenced by recent events, some believe Nashville has a tolerance for hate language and behavior, even against children.  Hating, hurting and harassing children cannot be part of our identity or the growing up experience of our beautiful children.

Together, we must walk and talk the language of love, drowning out the fringe of hate and awakening those that would tolerate the hate in silence.
