The belief that college is attainable doesn’t come easily. It’s built over years, one afternoon at a time, in a space where staff, teachers, tutors, and peers encourage you to dream big.

That’s the strength of our Academic Student Unions. In these vibrant, student-led spaces in multiple high schools, supportive staff are there every day, tutors drop in for extra help, students finish homework and write college essays side-by-side, and FAFSA fine print gets figured out.

Since MOBC founded the ASU model in 2010, 2,600 participating students have enrolled in post-secondary education (2-year and 4-year colleges, trade schools, or vocational programs) and earned more than $181 million in scholarships and financial aid.

That’s remarkable success built one moment of impact at a time.
