The Martha O’Bryan Center serves as a United Way “Family Resource Center” and promotes community engagement through partnerships with local residents and other local organizations. Previous events include the Back to School Bash, Daddy Daughter Dance, Cayce Arts Festival, Trunk or Treat, Community Fall Festival, Black History Month celebrations, Community Coat Drive, Holiday Open House, movie screenings and various field trips. Our Resident Council promotes a continuous feedback loop between the people we serve and the programs and resources in our community.
Ongoing events include:
Kid’s Café – An opportunity for kids and families to share a free meal together.
Self-Care Workshops – A chance for women in the community to connect, relax and cultivate new skills.
Walmart trips – A weekly shuttle to Walmart for community members to fellowship and get groceries.
Chiropractic Care – Our partners at Chiro Nash treat community members free of charge.
Food Bank – Martha O’Bryan Center has a Second Harvest food bank onsite to serve the community in routine and emergency food need situations. We are the busiest food bank in Nashville.
Senior Food Boxes – Martha O’Bryan Center is a distribution site for the CSFP boxes for senior citizens.
Meals on Wheels – The center distributes nutrition bags to senior citizens in the East Nashville area weekly.
